About Cadence

I’ve long been enchanted by the power of words. ​While my career has taken me across industries—from the private sector to magazines to arts organizations and public service—I’ve never veered far from my passion to tell stories and fix apostrophes.

As a contract editor for FriesenPress, my editing skills have been vetted according to Editors Canada guidelines, meeting internationally recognized standards that define the level of performance expected of a professional editor.

 

I've honed my storytelling skills as a student and apprentice in the Writer's Studio at Simon Fraser University, as the associate producer for the fiction anthology podcast The Truth, and as a first reader for Flash Fiction Online. I'm a longtime member of the Federation of BC Writers.

 

I am grateful to live in Victoria, BC, on the land of the lək̓ʷəŋən People, known today as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.
